The bat of Victor Reyes has been heating up.

The bat of Lotte Giants’ foreign-born outfielder Victor Reyes has been heating up.

He went 4-for-5 with one home run, two RBIs, and three runs scored in the Giants’ 3-2 win over the Samsung Lions at Samsung Lions Park in Daegu on April 19.

Batting in the No. 4 spot, Reyes led off the second inning with a single to left field. With the score tied at 0-0 in the fourth inning, Reyes singled up the middle to put runners on first and second and scored on Jung-Hoon’s double to right field. Reyes, who led off the sixth inning with a 3-0 lead, struck out swinging against Samsung’s second pitcher, right-hander Seung-hyun Lee.

Leading off the eighth inning with a 5-4 lead, Reyes got the offense rolling. Reyes lined a single up the middle against Lim Chang-min. Choi singled to left, followed by a sacrifice bunt by Jung Hoon, and then came home on another single to center by Jung. Lotte tacked on two more runs on an RBI single by Lee and a pushing double by Yoon Dong-hee.

Reyes, whose earlier at-bats had set up scoring opportunities, proved to be the difference maker in the ninth inning with a two-run lead. Jeon Jun-woo led off with a single. The LOTTE bench brought in Choo Jae-hyun to pinch-hit. After a walk, Choo stole second base.

With the bases loaded, Reyes hit a two-run arch to left.

It was the game-winning hit. Lotte tacked on one more run on Jung Hoon’s solo arch. Samsung got one more run in the top of the ninth on a sacrifice fly by pinch-hitter Yoon Jung-bin, but nothing dramatic happened.

Lotte defeated Samsung 10-6 to sweep the three-game weekend series. Starter Kim Jin-wook picked up his third win of the season, 파워볼사이트 추천 allowing two runs on three hits (one homer) and three walks with seven strikeouts in six innings. Jung-Hoon Chung led the offense with Reyes, going 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBIs and two runs scored.

After the game, Reyes said, “First of all, it feels great to help the team win, not the record. I wasn’t expecting to hit a home run, but I was focused on making good contact on a full count, and I think I was lucky that it turned out to be a home run,” Reyes said after the game.

Manager Kim Tae-hyung said of Reyes, “He’s doing better than I expected. His swing is not a home run hitter’s style. He’s a contact hitter, but he has a lot of power, so he’s hitting long balls. He’s doing a good job,” he said with a smile.

Especially when he faces Samsung. Including that game, he batted 5-for-22 (40 at-bats) with three home runs, 15 RBIs and nine runs scored. At this point, it’s safe to call him a lion hunter.
