Wonju DB defeats Daegu KOGAS. One step closer to the championship.

DB defeated KOGAS 75-74 in the fifth round of the 2023-2024 regular season at the Wonju General Gymnasium on Feb. 2.

DB was led by Dedrick Lawson with 22 points, six rebounds, and six assists. Sam Joseph Belangel scored a game-high 29 points for Gazprom, but it wasn’t enough to prevent a close loss.

DB, which finished the third quarter with a 59-50 lead, faced a late charge from GAS, but managed to hold on for a one-point victory.

The same day in Busan, home team Busan KCC defeated Suwon KT 101-94. The fifth-place KCC (23-19) closed the gap on third-place Changwon LG (27-17) to 2.5 games.

Choi Jun-yong led KCC with 26 points and Heo Woong added 22 points. For KT, Paris Bass led the way with 32 points and 16 rebounds, but the win was not enough.

The 10th-ranked Seoul Samsung defeated the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis 92-77 at home. They finally got their 10th win in 34 games. Hyundai Mobis is in sixth place with a 24-21 record.

Kofi Coburn had a “double-double” for Samsung with 30 points and 17 rebounds. For Hyundai Mobis, Gage Prim had 18 points.
