“Osimhen signing for Liverpool? Never done that with any club” transfer expert confirms

Victor Osimhen’s (Napoli, 25) ‘Liverpool deal’ is likely to be ruled ‘unfounded’.

“Some media outlets are reporting that Osimhen and Liverpool have already agreed on terms,” European transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said on his video channel on Wednesday, adding, “As far as I can tell, Osimhen hasn’t agreed with any club. Not even with Napoli,” he emphasized.

Last week, some Italian media outlets, including ‘Kiss Kiss Napoli’ Walter De Maggio, reported that Osimhen had reached a personal agreement to move to Liverpool next summer. Osimhen is the ace who led Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years last season.

While Kim Min-jae was the heart of the defense, Osimhen was the ace up front. He was Serie A’s top scorer last season with 31 goals in 39 games. He caught the eye of big clubs like Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Even a Saudi Arabian club has expressed interest.

Osimhen, who is signed through the summer of 2025, has remained with Napoli for now. Napoli wants a contract extension to keep him. However, Osimhen is ready to leave Napoli without a contract extension.

Osimhen has had his feelings hurt by the club recently. First, there were rumors of a falling out with new coach Rudi Garcia. After being substituted during a match against Bologna, Osimhen openly expressed his displeasure. It was reported that Osimhen apologized in the locker room and quickly put out the fire.

However, Napoli’s official social media outlets began mocking Osimhen, comparing him to a coconut and mocking his missed penalty against Bologna. What’s more, the coconut could spark a racism controversy. Osimhen, through his agent, warned of legal action.

“There was no agreement between Osimhen and Napoli to extend his contract,” Romano said, “Napoli 토토 made a very important offer to Osimhen. But Osimhen hasn’t made a decision and hasn’t agreed with any club.”

He added: “Osimhen will take his time. Reports of an agreement with Liverpool are not true,” he said, adding, “Of course, Liverpool and many other clubs are monitoring the situation of many strikers. However, nothing has been agreed and nothing has been finalized with Osimhen.”
