It’s a little chilly, but it’s spring. The Doosan Bears have won three straight games in the spring.
Doosan won 3-0 against the Lotte Giants in the third game of the 2024 Baseball World Series at Sajik Stadium in Busan on April 11 behind the one-two punch of Alcantara and Brandon.
Doosan swept Lotte for its third straight victory, following a two-game sweep over the weekend against Kiwoom.
Meanwhile, Lotte, which has been plagued by injuries from the start, continued to suffer a heartbreaking experience as Kim Min-seok and Han Dong-hee suffered torn oblique muscles and Koo Seung-min was replaced after being hit by a hard hit by Doosan’s Lee Yoo-chan. Fortunately, according to Lotte, Koo Seung-min was only grazed by the pitch without any major injuries.
Doosan went into the game with the following lineup:

Doosan took the lead in the top of the second inning. Kim Jae-hwan was lucky to catch the wind and hit a double to the right side of the infield. With runners on first and third, Heo Kyung-min easily scored on a sacrifice fly.
In the top of the third inning, Park Jun-young launched a solo shot over the left field fence. It was exactly what manager Lee Seung-yeop was hoping for as he wanted to add weight to the batting order.
Lotte, on the other hand, failed to capitalize on several early scoring opportunities.
In the bottom of the first inning, Yoo Kang-nam struck out with runners on second and third, and in the top of the third, leadoff hitter Yoon Dong-hee hit a double off the back of the left field wall to put runners on first and third, but Reyes’ short fly ball to center field was thrown out at home by Doosan’s Jung Soo-bin.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Na Seung-yeop and Park Seung-wook singled to put runners on second and third. After Alcantara reached 69 pitches, Doosan brought in Lee Byung-heon, who struck out pinch-hitter Shin Yoon-hoo to end the threat.
In the fifth inning, Doosan brought in another outfielder, Brandon, who was forecast to pitch in the next day’s rainy weather, which Lee explained was more about Brandon’s experience than the bullpen.
Brandon continued his upward trajectory from last year by quickly erasing four runs in the eighth inning. He struck out five and walked none.
Lotte followed Wilkerson with Park Jin-hyung, 바카라사이트 who allowed two runs in four innings. Doosan got on the board in the top of the fifth inning when Jung Soo-bin hit an RBI triple to left-center field with the bases loaded.
Doosan also failed to capitalize on a bases-loaded opportunity in the top of the sixth inning when Heo Kyung-min singled and had runners on first and second with no outs in the seventh. However, with a 3-0 lead in the ninth inning, they sent rookie closer Kim Taek-yeon to the mound. Kim struck out the side in succession with a fastball that touched 150 mph to end the game.
