Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 17th that it has completed the LED lighting replacement project for four public sports facilities, including Okjeong Sports Park. The city has been promoting a project to replace old halogen lights with LED lights in seven sports parks for three years, spending a total of 1.8 billion won since last year. The projects completed this year include Okjeong Sports Park, Jangheung Sports Park, Gwangjeong Sports Park, and Baekseok Sports Park. The city plans to replace the lighting at three more public sports facilities, including 토토 Sincheon Sports Park, with LED lighting next year. The city expects to save 340 million won in electricity bills annually once the project is completed. “By replacing all the old lighting facilities in public sports facilities that use a lot of electricity, we will be able to reduce electricity bills, which will help solve the national power shortage,” said Yangju Mayor Kang Soo-hyun, adding, “We will continue to implement energy-saving policies in various places.”
